I was in the grocery store when I met my neighbour.
“Hi,” he said.
“Hi”, I said.
“Cold enough for ya?” he asked
“Too cold for me.” I answered.
Are you bored yet? But that’s how actual conversations go. If you’re writing a story you can’t put in conversations like that because it will bore people to death.
